A systemd rendszerkomponens körül kialakult viták miatt egy csapat elkötelezett fejlesztő kilépett a Debian csapatából és megalkotta saját, immáron systemd mentes operációs rendszerét Devuan néven.

Welcome to DevuanDevuan GNU+Linux is a fork of Debian without systemd. Devuan’s stable release is now2.0.0 ASCII. The 1.0.0 Jessie release (LTS) has moved to oldstable status. Since thedeclaration of intention to fork in 2014, infrastructure has been put in place to support Devuan’s mission to offer users control over their system. Devuan Jessie provided a safe upgrade path from Debian 7 (Wheezy) and Debian 8 (Jessie). Now Devuan ASCII offers an upgrade from Devuan Jessie as well as a transition from Debian 9 (Stretch) that avoids unnecessary entanglements and ensures Init Freedom.
Devuan aliases its releases using minor planet names as codenames. Devuan file names follow this release naming scheme.

Damn Small Linux

A DSL, azaz Damn Small Linux talán az egyik legnagyobb elismerést kiváltó, igazán apró rendszer volt a maga 50 MB méretével és mindezt úgy, hogy hivatalosan a futtatásához elegendő volt egy 486DX PC 16MB Ram memóriával, ami már a megjelenésének időpontjában is igen kevésnek számított.

Sajnos, mára már teljesen kihalt a projekt, de a weboldal még működik egyfajta szomorú mementóként  :-D

NetbootCD

Egy olyan TCL alapú kis linux, ami lehetővé teszi, hogy más linux disztrók netes telepítőjét letöltsük és futtassuk.

NetbootCD is a Linux live CD based on Tiny Core Linux. The live CD allows the user to download and run one of several Linux netboot installers, which can install a full GNU/Linux system with only a hard drive and Internet connection. 

Some of the distributions supported by NetbootCD are prerelease distributions (such as Debian testing) or development/rolling-release distributions (openSUSE Tumbleweed, Fedora Rawhide, Debian sid.) Because NetbootCD downloads the latest installer, which in turn downloads the latest system components, you can install a fully up-to-date system without burning a new CD.
